Steve Miller and James Bright, a duo of two talented electronic producers, released a seriously good chill-out album. "Northern Lights" comprises eleven well-crafted tracks that easily fit for putting a listener's mind at ease while remaining active enough not to get him/her to sleep. The first half of the album is composed with a more creative effort than the other half to attract a listener to the album, and it works. My special favorite is "So La Ra Dsa" which I consider to be a chill-out masterpiece. You just need to listen how beautifully the sounds are put together and appear in time one after another. It is actually emotional chill-out as are "Northern Lights", "100 Billion Stars" and "Secret Fish" to name the brighter ones, but the rest tracks are also carrying a quality mark. I wish I had a chance to listen more from Lux, but it seems to be a one-album project, since they haven't released anything after "Northern Lights" by now. Still, Steve's and James's solo output is also worth digging as there is not really many professional electronic musicians - they showed it by this album.
